It is 2018, and this movement has never been so important. Our oceans and ecosystems are under assault like never before. From the Arctic to the Gulf of Mexico, from Atlantic to Pacific, from the Great Plaines to mountaintops and swamps

=================================== HOW IT ALL BEGAN
The #JoinHANDS movement started in Florida.
Back on February 13, 2010, a statewide gathering against near and offshore oil drilling occurred in Florida a couple months BEFORE the BP spill disaster. 10,000 Floridians representing 60 towns and cities and over 90 beaches joined hands to protest the efforts by the Florida Legislature and the US Congress to lift the ban on oil drilling in the near and off shores of Florida.
