We are building the Black Snake, representing the Pipelines that attack Miami (Methane from Fracking is a cause of Sea-Level Rise) and threaten our drinking water (through spills and damage during installation).

04/29 – 12:00 pm – PEOPLE’S CLIMATE MARCH
UPG Team gathers at Noon for Training & Final Assembly.
This will be the culmination of a full week of science that begins with the March for Science. March in solidarity with the Peoples Climate Movement and worldwide communities as we seek to highlight the indisputable science around climate change.

5/20 – MARCH AGAINST MONSANTO
March in solidarity for the health of our people, our water, soil & planet, our farmers around the world and to save biodiversity of seeds, stop the genetically Modified mosquitoes and to educate the citizens of Miami about the adverse health effects associated with GMOs & glyphosate and expose Monsanto’s corrupt business practices.

RECLAIMING FLORIDA’S FUTURE FOR ALL (March 21st-23rd)
Groups of citizen activists from throughout the State of Florida traveled to Tallahassee to meet with elected officials and their staff to ask for them to support and/or oppose legislation that had a direct impact on our environment.
Our objectives were to ban fracking, support solar, and protect Florida’s water. Below is the group who rode along with UPG – citizens from Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach County! Great group, and a special experience!
