UPG and ACENA invite you to transform and protect our Nature Preserve and Neighborhood!

You can HARVEST a Xmas Tree! plus SPECIAL PROJECTS. There are smaller Australian Pines that UPG needs to remove, and YOU can help! Bring your hand saw (NO CHAINSAWS) or use one of ours. Training Provided.
You will also learn UPG’s Organic Stewardship method for terminating the stump (no herbicides ever).

2 Sundays: Dec 4th and Dec 12th!
If you are only there to cut 1 tree down, please be on-site before 10am.

We hope that you can also Volunteer with us (we work from 8am-11am), but it is not required.
All ages welcome, but expect it to be hot!
You can expect to do real work, get grubby, and make the world a better place.

RESERVATIONS required. This tells us how to plan, handles liability, and lets us provide a contact phone number and any last minute info.

NAVIGATE to 2605 NE 135 St / North Miami, FL 33181, and park next to the Preserve sign. We meet at this spot at 8am. If you are late, walk down the paved path until you cross the second bridge. You will find us near the white truck. 

BRING / Wear / Prepare Bring a water bottle, closed-toed shoes & dress for the weather. Gardening gloves, favorite sunblock and bug repellent are optional. UPG will provide Tools, Gloves, and chilled water refills. You will be doing real work, so eat a real breakfast (you will need the energy).

BATHROOM There is no bathroom on site. Plan accordingly.

SCHEDULE Volunteers, see above. UPG Staff, coordinate with your supervisor.

GROUPS If you have a group larger than 4 people, please contact sam@urban-paradise.org.

CHILDREN If you would like to bring children, they are welcome. We will have paper Volunteer Liability Waivers on hand.

You can expect to do real work, get grubby, and make the world a better place.
